Malheureusement vu les circonstances tragiques dans leur pays les ukrainiens de 1914 se voient dans l’impossibilité de partir en tournée actuellement. On est de tout coeur avec vous et espérons que cette guerre scandaleuse, injuste et horrible prenne fin au plus vite…

Voici le message officiel du groupe :

1914 state: “It is impossible for us as a band to go and play abroad, not only because of the travel restrictions. Our place is in Ukraine right now, with our kids, families, with Ukrainian people. We promise – when the war ends – we will again go and play a badass tour around Europe and will meet our friends, drink the finest moonshine, and celebrate life once again! But for now we have a lot to do and our thoughts are here.”

We are devastated about the war and misery in Ukraine, and we are very concerned about the safety of our artists, their families and the Ukrainian people.

Please support our artists and all Ukrainian people wherever you can and spread the word about this war and injustice committed to the Ukrainian people.

The Brutality Of War – Pure Historic Blackened Death/Doom Metal!

Metal with WWI lyrics is a traditional affair – especially in the extreme metal sector where bands such as Endstille, God Dethroned or Hail of Bullets set the bar high. But none of them took the matter as seriously (visually too!) as 1914! The Ukrainian act mixes blackened massive death metal with audio drama soundscapes, disquieting melodies, and a majestic doom factor. The Blind Leading The Blind is a future genre classic!

(0) have to be one of the best-kept secrets of the Danish underground – very few bits of information can be gathered online with the spelling parentes0parentes, but still, the musicians choose to remain nameless – choosing to have their harsh and extreme soundscapes speak for them. Their self-titled debut EP was initially released in 2017 and tested the boundaries of black metal, progressive metal, drone and post metal on four long tracks – a demanding and multi-faceted affair reveling in cascades of blackened rage and bleak melancholy. In April 2020 Napalm Records has released the debut album SkamHan, a lucid dream wrapped in growling dark melancholia. Seven explosive and oppressive tracks presented in a frenzied mania blossom into a hallucinating mixture of black, drone and post metal spiced with intense sludge and progressive influences.
