Depuis\, Annie Taylor s’est déjà produit·e au SXSW\, à la mythique station de radio KEXP à Seattle\, au Levitation Festival à Austin\, ainsi qu’au Great Escape et au Reeperbahn Festival. \nSur « Out of Scale »\, Annie Taylor a de nouveau fait évoluer son son. Le premier album\, « Sweet Mortality »\, a propulsé le groupe sur la scène internationale comme venu de nulle part. Le deuxième\, « Inner Smile »\, enregistré en Angleterre\, était plus brut\, plus honnête. Et aujourd’hui\, le groupe a encore affûté son style. Chaque chanson sonne différemment\, tout en devant presque inévitablement mener à la suivante. Après des guitares saturées et un grunge rageur et émancipateur vient une psychédélie répétitive — puis un morceau introspectif\, presque calme : quelque part entre Courtney Barnett et Wet Leg. \nUne grande partie de la nouvelle musique est née durant l’été\, lorsque Zurich était presque vide parce que tout le monde était parti en vacances. La chanteuse Gini Jungi se souvient du goût de la crème solaire et du sel sur sa peau. Des robes d’été. Et d’un temps infini pour réfléchir. Par moments\, cela lui faisait du bien\, notamment lorsque des nuits sans plan prenaient forme\, dans un état de limbo\, et qu’elle ressentait malgré tout une clarté saisissante. D’autres fois\, elle était assise sur le tapis de son appartement\, se sentait seule\, jouait de la guitare\, ressentait la perte\, mais aussi la gratitude. \nLors des festivals\, des longs trajets en bus et des concerts tardifs\, les membres du groupe étaient très proches les uns des autres. Ils ont ainsi pu s’immerger presque naturellement dans les textes de Gini Jungi et les mettre en musique ensemble. \nDe nombreuses chansons de « Out of Scale » parlent d’amitiés et de relations amoureuses : se sentir en sécurité\, être euphorique parce qu’une personne révèle la beauté du monde. Les souvenirs d’une époque où tout allait bien. Puis viennent les doutes. Quelque chose ne va plus. « I am not your answer » — je ne suis pas ta réponse. « And I am not your cure » — et je ne suis pas ta guérison. \nDes morceaux comme « The Ocean » ou « Something ain’t right » trouvent des mélodies pour cette atmosphère\, ce mélange de désir\, de nostalgie et de réconfort. Par moments\, la voix de Gini Jungi reste en retrait\, épurée ; puis soudain\, le brouillard se lève et elle se fait toute proche. \nAvec la sortie du nouvel album\, le groupe rejoint le label Clouds Hill. Le bassiste Josip Tijan vient également renforcer Annie Taylor et apporter un vent de fraîcheur. Le concept visuel a été conçu par Kevin Högger\, Studio Végété et Quentin Lacombe. Ce mélange de design graphique contemporain\, d’art expérimental et d’esthétique pop reflète la tension et l’ouverture qui caractérisent l’album. \nFaire les choses à sa manière\, même si ce n’est pas le chemin le plus direct — « Out of Scale »\, hors des normes établies — voilà le message que porte l’album\, déjà inscrit dans le nom du groupe. Annie Edson Taylor était une enseignante américaine au mode de vie instable\, qui dérangeait. En 1901\, elle fut la première personne à descendre les chutes du Niagara dans un tonneau. Elle ne s’en sortit qu’avec une blessure à l’arrière de la tête. \nLes nouvelles chansons d’Annie Taylor touchent par leur caractère brut et intime. Parce qu’elles laissent aussi la place aux périodes difficiles\, celle qu’elles méritent. Et parce qu’elles permettent les nouveaux départs. Dès le morceau d’ouverture\, « Alligator »\, l’auditeur est immédiatement réveillé : le titre donne l’impression que tout se joue dans la salle de répétition et montre qu’après les doutes vient souvent la prise de conscience : je n’ai pas besoin de me diminuer\, de m’effacer\, de me courber. Je peux agir moi-même sur la situation. \n« Out of Scale » motive à ne jamais cesser de rêver. À se réinventer encore et encore. Et à résister à l’immobilisme. \nTHE TOKSIN \n\nThe Toksin est un groupe de rock garage / punk alternatif originaire du Valais\, en Suisse. Formé en juin 2023\, le trio s’est rapidement fait remarquer par son énergie brute\, ses mélodies accrocheuses et sa présence scénique intense.

Mastermind Ole\nLuk Ole Luk processes his impressions about everything from life and death\, despair and\ngrief to odes for his family and loved ones and the time of past generations.\nAfsky tastefully blends elements of folk\, depressive\, second wave and atmospheric black\nmetal into a soulful whole and is captivating and touching music that creates a haunting\natmosphere through melancholic acoustic elements\, moody soundscapes and rich melodic\npresence. It is a touching journey into light and darkness that effortlessly treats black metal\nas if it is more than just a vessel for negative energies.\n\n\nYoth Iria –\nFormed by Jim Mutilator (founding bassist of Rotting Christ and Varathron)\, Yoth Iria emerged from the depths of Hellenic black-metal tradition to redefine its legacy with renewed fire and vision. Joining him at the dawn of this new chapter was the legendary The Magus (Necromantia\, Thou Art Lord\, ex-Rotting Christ)\, whose commanding voice and occult aura helped forge the band’s early identity and sound.\nYoth Iria made their first mark in 2020 with the EP Under His Sway\, a dark\, majestic release that reawakened the spirit of the early ’90s Greek black-metal scene while infusing it with a modern\, ritualistic essence. In 2021 Yoth Iria unleashed their debut full-length\, As the Flame Withers\, which was hailed worldwide as a triumphant return of the true Hellenic spirit.
